Using YouTube’s Video Editor To Promote Your Mobile Apps
During our hangout with David Rangel of Corona Labs, he suggested several things that app developers should be doing to market their mobile apps. One of those suggestions was to create videos that show how your app works so customers can get a sense of what it would be like to use your app.
Since video production can be intimidating, I thought it would be a good idea to show how simple it is to edit video clips using YouTube’s built in video editor. This is especially useful if you don’t already have video editing software or advanced editing skills.

BTW, check out Dean Murphy’s Joke Shake app promo video. Just like the app itself, the video is clean, simple, and to the point.
You can find his free app in Apple’s app store.

Posted at 14:01h, 06 DecemberI’ve used the video editor a few times to create new clips. If you think about it, the big time saver is using it to clip out sections of a video that has already been uploaded to YouTube. As an example, I am planning on breaking some of the Corona Geek hangouts into smaller clips so that app developers can watch shorter 10 minute clips if they want.
